On June 16, 2017, at age 88, Alva Clarine Day slept peacefully in her granddaughters arms and woke in the arms of the Lord in her home in Ocala, Florida

Born in Richmondgreen, St Mary, Jamaica West Indies. Earned her certification to become a registered nurse specializing in midwifery. Furthered her education so that she climbed the ranks in her profession in England and New York until she retired. Never did she stop being a student and teacher because she valued an education and desired others that she love to rise.

She was the matriarch that gave, supported, prayed for her family, and was an inspiration. Was survived by her brother and sister: Christopher Williams and Idalyn Williams; her daughter and her husband: Josephine Bryce and Winston Bryce; grandchildren: Kerrisa Bryce, Nadia Bryce, Chantoll Williams and husband Cameron Williams; great grandchildren: Bellalucia Williams and Winston Williams. She was blessed with many nieces and nephews.

She did not lack for love because she had a large biological and church family. She loved to lift her voice in choir. As much as she lived, she loved, and was loved by us and the Lord. She is dearly missed.
